Apr 1, 2013 · Upon further inspection, we found that the TCM did have a code P0218 stored, a code for transmission over-temp. At this point, we cleared the code and went for a road test. At first, everything appeared to be operating normally. The converter clutch was applying with no slip concerns, and fluid-temperature readings were fairly normal.It shows my temp as 189 deg. but then when I attempt the Fast learn it says TEMP LO. I've *attempted* to use HP Tuners over the last 30 or so 6L's that I've built and out of those 30 only 3 times-Yes, a total of 3 out of 30-did it actually say "completed successfully". All the other 27 vehicles are gone-delivered to the customers-and running ...Today it's 85* and after about a 30 minute trip (15 miles) of 50/50 interstate and city roads (75 mph on interstate), the trans temp was around 195*. A straight swap out at the parts store will get you the wrong pulley.
